Amsterdam: A Dry Run for Terror Attacks?

Pro Palestine marches being used as recruitment for Islamist cells?

Make no mistake. The harrowing scenes last night in Amsterdam show that terror groups can use Pro Palestine protests to coordinate mobs, and potentially commit mass atrocities.

Anyone who doesn't think terror organisations are sophisticated needs to look back at footage of 9/11. They need to look at the lobbying of the UN. They need to reference blatant manipulation of the media. They need to delve into the sheer volume of propaganda posted online, the bot farms, the ability of Islamic State to recruit soldiers to fight in a Middle Eastern hellhole from across the West. They know what they are doing. And they are playing us like a fiddle.

Since I wrote my article on Al Qaeda 2.0 - only last week - what I warned about seems to have now been tested.

A mass casualty event similar to October 7th taking place simultaneously across European towns and cities. I warned that the Pro-Palestine Marches were a ruse for recruitment exercises, scraping, caching and grooming would-be terrorists to coordinate into mobs which could later be activated into cells.

If they were able to get 40,000 foreigners to travel all the way to Syria to fight for ISIS, how many might they be able to coordinate here? How many are being shipped in, as you read this, on small boats? It will dwarf the 40,000 who left their families and crossed multiple countries into an actual war zone a decade ago. We know we have 50,000 people on the terror watch list in the UK alone. How many more are we unaware of?

In under a decade there have been 40 major mass casualty terror events planned in the UK and foiled by our intelligence services at the 11th hour.

You don't know about this because thankfully, they never came to pass. But we are looking at around 5 major attacks every year being prevented.

The Head of the Commission for Countering Extremism made clear last year that Iran and Hamas are using charities, marches and proxy lobbying through afiliated NGOs to not only stoke up division, but spread terrorist sympathy throughout the country.

It is part of a broader plot that was activated on October 7th when Hamas committed the most blood curdling, barbaric atrocities in Israel, provoking a response from Netanyhahu to which they could then use Gazans as a human shield and provoke an antisemitic and anti-Western narrative across the West, and recruit would-be terrorists. And it's working.

Reports of hundreds of young Arabic men actively hunting Jews in Amsterdam should chill you to the bone. There are, as I write, unconfirmed reports of people going missing, perhaps even hostages having been taken, and so far 63 arrests.

This was no small skirmish and it was no football hooliganism either. It was, dare I say, as described by Dutch PVV Leader Geert Wilders, a Pogrom on the streets of Europe.

How alarming then that various mainstream publications from the Daily Mail to the BBC seemed to copy lines that appeared in Al Jazeera that this was the result of Israeli football fans chanting racist, provocative slogans at Pro Palestine supporters. No. This was a targeted attack that had been billeted around the city via stickers, coordinated across Telegram and Signal channels and organised in a terrifyingly comprehensive way, from recruiting taxi drivers to abandon targets, seize passports and mobs to kettle and to violently attack. Some posts online suggest people were being IDed as they entered apartment buildings to make sure they weren't Jewish.

Reports suggest that the police were initially reluctant to get involved, for fear, one assumes, of being accused of Islamophobia or heightening tensions further. Where have we seen that before?

I am increasingly firmly of the belief that Pro Palestine demos are not only being used to recruit and groom would be terror cells in Britain, but stress test the response and capabilities of the authorities and gaslight them into inertia when the true terrorist rampage takes place.

France has banned the marches. Germany has banned the marches. Every day that we don't, could we be playing into the hands of people who seek to murder us in cold blood on our own streets?

There is one other plausible explanation though, that I would like to hope is true…

We have some of the best intelligence services in the world. With a reassuringly high success rate. Perhaps, therefore, the terrorists are playing into our hands by enabling the services to maintain ‘Eyes On.’

Only time will tell.
