Yesterday on Talk, I warned of the very real risks of the inflammatory words and demonisation adopted by the radical left about opposition political voices.
Nazi. Fascist. Racist.
Actually, scrap that. Not just the radical left. But those who hold office.
The Prime Minister of the UK.
Little did any of us know the brilliant, young, passionate, eloquent Christian activist Charlie Kirk would be assassinated.
Charlie was a force. A phenomenon. With a God given super-charged intelligence that saw him inspire millions of young people in America and around the world to embrace tradional, small c conservative, Western values.
He went to every single university campus in America and offered himself up for debate. He was the very definition of open discussion, accountability, democracy and freedom. He was the future of America.
Charlie himself never went to university. He was a self taught savant with an ability to use language in a way very, very few possess. With his high speed mind and exceptional expression, he was able to dismantle the false narratives that are being spoonfed to students with poisonous implications.
The notions of white privilege and critical race theory that silo and divide people based on the colour of their skin.
The idea of unbound sexual freedom with the erasure of sex based reality, that has led innumerable children to irreversibly abuse their little bodies and invokes hysterical dysphoria in vulnerable minds.
The symbiotic wickedness of radical Islam and Marxism and their co-intention to eradicate Western civilisation, thought and culture.
Charlie was not controversial. He was not dangerous. He fought tirelessly against what should be controversial and dangerous. And for this, ultimately he gave his life
The world is being told repeatedly that those on the cultural right are an existential danger. A murderous, hateful, demonic force that needs to be contained.
The thing is, there are people out there who listen.
Who respond to the real dog whistle in politics with righteous indignation.
We are in a perilous position.
We are truly endangered when our own Prime Minister invokes imagery of death camps and eugenics against his own people. Who so callously, coldly and calculatingly frames any voice of dissent as an enemy threat
Yesterday, a young, beautiful father of two was slain in front of his family.
Today as we pray for Charlie, his wife, his children, his family, his friends, his colleagues and all of those he influenced and inspired, we must also pray for tomorrow.
Yes to all this Alex. Beautifully said. We have seen true evil this week.
Well said Alex, a very sad day.
