The Prosecution of War in Iran is Poetic
Don’t listen to the “No Plan” doomsayers. They would have appeased Hitler. No. In fact, America’s manoeuvres scan like poetry and have been decades in the making.
A novel is like a long jug of ale while poetry is downing a shot. Or words to that effect. I can’t remember who said it, or when, but it stuck with me as a strong analogy.
Something about the sheer intensity of poetry forces it to confine itself to patterns, with one line inherently reactive to the line written before as scansion, rhyme, conceit or wit spin a complex verbal web of reasoning.
Watching the US-Israeli offensive from afar (well, and near) I can tell you this: each development in the headlines elicits a squeal of excitement and awe.
I’ve been blessed with the bowel shaking rumbles of bombers flying over my garden living 10 minutes West of RAF Fairford and have even indulged in a plane spotting mission to the air base’s main apron to be delighted by the sight of menacing B1s parked up in a formation of readiness
No, I am not a sinister warmonger (despite having a lifelong fascination with fast jets and behemoth bombers). I rather like the idea of world peace, which means the end of tyrannical regimes that sponsor global terrorism and destabilise every nation on earth. So watching real time the pin point accuracy of the American strikes, the 4D chess as America has anticipated every predictable reaction by Iran, the cool, calm, assertive dominance as the regime in Tehran (or hiding somewhere else at this point, doubtless known to The Mossad before they even relocated to a new underground bunker) has flailed and acted out like a toddler, trying to drag the entire region and world into a horizontal war, has been like watching the Brazilian national football team play against Burnley FC.
The idea of there being ‘no plan’ is one of those patently absurd tropes that ends up being repeated by every politician, journalist and commentator as Biblical Fact, because it is vogue to do so, and they are too ignorant or lazy to survey the empirical evidence. So let’s start at the beginning.
The Plan, and doubtless countless permutations of it, has been drawn up for years, honed on the whetstone of past mistakes and under the laser focus of a nominally non-interventionist President who demands instant results, and knows the stakes of not getting them.
The very people blurting about there being No Plan, are those outside of The Plan, who themselves don’t have A Plan, which is exactly why they aren’t allowed to be part of The Plan.
Who seems more planless to you? A UK Government who had not even moved naval assets into the region when America started shipping kinetic into the Middle East and very publicly warning about commencing strikes? A UK Government with only one and a half days of gas reserves as America bombs the very vessels Iran would use to lace The Strait of Hormuz with explosives? The UK who is now scrambling with Islamophobia definitions while unable to ban a pro-Regime Al Quds demo in London, or America who told The West a year ago to sort out its Islam problem and drill their own fossils. I could go on.
You see Trump has wanted to blow apart the Anti-Western axis since day one of his first term in office. And blow it apart he is doing.
If only we hadn’t had to suffer a decrepit, atrophying Biden and his equally demented handlers - the Presidential Puppet of the same Woke West Cartel who continue to script the UK’s tragic decline - we may even be in the sunlit uplands already.
Back then, Trump took out the Head of the IRGC, Qassam Soleimani, seemingly out of nowhere. The UK has failed, even to this day, to even proscribe it while we have imported God only knows how many of its sleeper cells and acolytes into the country and live in fear of provoking reprisals.
Trump called out Iran’s failure to comply with the strict conditions of the JCPOA (Iranian Nuclear deal) warning they continued to enrich Uranium while we essentially condoned their apocalyptic intentions through utter inertia.
You cannot negotiate with a terrorist.
But not only that, Trump (or those around him) knew that the cosy club of the Crinklies needed to be dismantled. The Toxic Triangle of weapons, fuel and criminality being built between China, Russia, Iran and North Korea with useful idiots in Venezuela and Cuba.
Russia’s economy is being eaten alive from the inside, despite all the clamour over Putin’s windfall from gas - a windfall we too could be cashing in on had Mad Ed not concreted over our oil wells. China just posted the lowest growth target in its modern history and admitted, for the first time ever, that deflation has been devouring their economy for three straight years. By America threatening to seize the Island of Kharg, responsible for 90% of Iranian fuel exports, and demanding China helps protect the straight of Hormuz, the message is clear. Join us to fight against your ally of convenience or watch your economy collapse. Chef’s kiss.
Iran’s Supreme Leader is dead, his son may or may not be in Russia getting limbs stitched back on (if he is Russia risks alienating the UAE who continue to receive drone and missile attacks from a flailing Tehran, where Putin’s oligarchs and cronies squirrel away their vast sums of stolen money). The Iranian Navy is largely scattered across the ocean floor. Venezuela’s dictator is sitting in a jail cell in lower Manhattan having had his military protection microwaved at close quarters by a staggering new US weapon. Cuba is next on Trump’s hit list and is watching the oil light blink ominously on the dashboard.
In brief, the great CRINKlies alliance… China, Russia, Iran, North Korea… the anti-Western axis that every think tank warned would end American dominance, fell apart the first time any of them actually needed help. Pitted against each other and unable to move without further ostracising themselves against other allies, they are now in an embarrassed circular firing squad, neither wanting to out-Pariah the other. Not once did one of these countries come to the rescue of another. Not once.
And America? Military deployed in theatres in all corners of the world with a win list being chalked up publicly and staggeringly. If they can snatch Maduro like that with cosmic weaponry, if their online braggadocio of fast jets, bunker buster bombs, stealth futuristic flying wings and an incoming hoard of snarling marines an Navy Seals is anything to go by, it ain’t even worth turning up to the battle with what look like Fisher Price toys in comparison.
The American economy, although having to andopt some risqué Pilates-esque positions and perhaps needing to gamble on selling oil contracts, is otherwise absorbing global shocks that would comatose other nations at the coal face. Drill Baby Drill is not just helping America currently weather the storm but is taking the sting out of the entire global inflationary index.
The dollar is still the reserve currency of the planet despite rumours of Iran trying to establish an independent bourse. Good luck with that sunshine. NATO is still intact, despite the UK especially proving to be a bigger enemy to The West than Gulf nations who have long warned it against importing radical Islamists.
Trump has demonstrated in a matter of hours in Caracas and days in Iran what Russia has failed to even come close to after four years of attrition in Ukraine. No wonder The Donald told Starmer to shove his rotting warship where the sun don’t shine after he belatedly agreed to deploy. Now the UK is having to pinch from its stockpiles of drones being made for Ukraine, successive Governments’ cause célèbre, to help keep the Straight of Hormuz open when the UK has the world’s highest electricity and gas prices and dumbest energy policy. Starmer looks like the Emperor flaunting his new clothes while his spit flecked swivel eyed cabinet come across as sobbing sixth formers being told they have all failed their A Levels in Politics.
‘Murica is calling the shots from a position of breathtaking might at polar opposite to the sad, incontinent, doolally and deranged Biden posture just a few years ago.
Every Western adversary is weakened and every anti-Western alliance exposed. Even Europe looks scatter brained and pointless, a chorus of eunuchs at the back of the circus. The message is clear. Don’t fuck with The Yanks, or anyone the Yanks say not to fuck with. And if Europe and Britain want to be included on the list of protected friends they had better start doing some grovelling.
Even if the CRINKlies wanted to get the band together to face down the brute force of Trump’s America, they have nothing to share. Not even amongst one another.
We bled ourselves dry by arming Ukraine but not enough to create a decisive outcome while signing trade deals and lining the pockets of Beijing, deindustrialising and de-arming at an unprecedented rate, while Beijing then lined the pockets of Russia’s war machine and Iran’s terror regime by buying black market fuel and providing components for weapons, the same black market fuel that powers the factories that make the solar panels and turbines we are purchasing en masse as we concrete over our own reserves. While we essentially condoned and reinforced the alliance of our enemies, America has just dismantled it in weeks.
Now, we have Ukraine providing the expertise and drones to help Iran’s regional neighbours defend against the same Iranian made weaponry once sold to Russia. As a result, Russia can now see Iran is exposed and alone. Help Tehran and it equally becomes a world Pariah where its oligarchs can no longer hide in plane sight in Dubai, meanwhile Iran can no longer help Moscow by sending masses of cheaply made Shaheds. Turn to China and they are no longer able to import the oil from Iran that propped up their economy undoing every CCP calculation underpinning their predatory mercantilism and economic warfare. When Trump told the UK to ‘Drill Baby Drill’ it would have been known back then that an offensive in the Middle East, an inevitability after October 7th, would disrupt supplies. We had seen it after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and indeed the Iranian backed Houthi rebels had been lobbing rockets at cargo in The Strait of Hormuz for years. The idea we could blunder on under the grotesquely indulgent religion of Net Zero as maritime routes and fuel supplies grew ever more precarious was optimistic at best, an act of domestic sabotage at worst.
No wonder Ed Military-Banned was the most vocal in cabinet against aiding the US commence strikes. And no wonder they seemed to have banished him to an oubliette before he crawled back out still waving the flag for Net Zero and calling for de-escalation.
Taking out Tehran was always going to have to happen. Despite The Mossad blowing the bollocks off a huge number of Hezbollah operatives by detonating their mobile phones, and then the replacement walkie-talkies they already knew would be seized as a back up. The mothership was always going to have to be targeted. You don’t treat cancer by ignoring it and hoping it will somehow disappear. You excise the accessible tumours and then go after the systemic rot with everything at hand.
But what happens next? comes the cry from Downing Street.
You celebrate. The cancer is gone. You are no longer at mortal risk of being nuked by mad Islamist Theocrats with an eschatological view of the world. Did people let Hitler crack on because they couldn’t see who his successor was going to be? The thing with regimes is they don’t have political opponents waiting in the wings ready to sachet into a ready made democratic government. That’s why they are regimes.
And yet the prepping of Resa Pahlavi, the long ousted Shah’s son, as a potentially uniting figure to aid a transition to secular democracy has been going on for years. I went to a talk about it in the Oxford and Cambridge Club back in 2021. People on the streets of Iran were shouting his name during the uprisings. That doesn’t happen by chance, considering Pahlavi hasn’t set foot in his own country since 1978 and the regime controls the internet and airwaves. That has been seeded comprehensively by the CIA.
The Kurds and their chillingly effective ground force of the Peshmerga are sharpening their weapons just over the border. Meanwhile precision strikes on Regime checkpoints across Iran, being fed directly from the brutally oppressed public to Israeli intelligence who hacked Iran’s network of traffic cams years ago, is picking apart Tehran’s enforcers while unpaid fighters and police as the economy collapses risks mutinies and murders within Iran’s once multilayered block of exacters.
Now back to the military side of things.
When Trump first struck the subterranean nuclear production sites in Isfahan and Fordow to take them out during the 12 day war, that wasn’t a spur of the moment decision. The 30,000-pound GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator that can pierce up to 200 feet underground, primarily deployed by B-2 bombers, had been developed for that exact purpose. Years in R&D for this exact purpose. So audacious and documented was The Plan, that Top Gun 2 essentially acted as a psy-op, a portent to get the public onside when The Flying Wing meted out its payload.
Now the UN warns there are tanks of enriched uranium that need seizing (again, the people pushing the ‘illegal war’ lines and ‘no evidence of WMD’ need to realise this is no longer 2003. Change the Q in Iraq that nat have represented ‘Questionable’ to an N for Nuclear and Necessary.)
So how will America or Israel seize these tanks of potential global destruction and stop them getting back into the hands of the Mad Mullahs?
We have already seen the US zap the armed defenders of Maduro in Venezuela with an impressive new microwaving weapon that enabled them to surgically pluck the Gangster Leader out of his own country and to a high security American jail. Combine that with the Bond-level genius of The Mossad, so they know exactly where key individuals are and when, their patterns, their lairs and their labs. Something tells me they will get the job done. Soon enough what remains of The Regime will surely have to board evacuation flights that will go dark somewhere over the Balkans.
Meanwhile most of the world has stepped up to - at the very least - defend against Iran’s meltdown. Billy Big Balls Macron is relishing throwing around his war toys to aggrandise his Napoleonic Complex. The entire Gulf region are helping America, and astonishingly Israel, in smacking Tehran to a pulp while Europe is helping intercept the retaliatory strikes against their foreign military bases and critical infrastructure. Rather than Iran turning Israel’s neighbours against it, and America, coordination and camaraderie is being concretised. The Abraham accords first drafted under Trump 0.1 are now there for all the world to see, operating in plain sight.
Pinch yourself, we are glimpsing at a world where the Middle East defends the Jews at the behest of the Yanks. I mean come on! Nobody says this is all going to be easy but I would never have counted on that miracle transpiring.
And it’s only been just over a bloody fortnight for crying out loud. How long do people expect world changing wars to last? To me it looks like success in fast forward.
As Iran reaches for last resort mines to blow up what is left of their own credibility by indiscriminately targeting any vessel passing through the Strait, they are now saying they won’t target Chinese vessels, desperate to sell them what is left of their oil as their finances splutter and collapse. Well you can’t have it both ways. Either the vital marine artery is lased with explosives or it is not. By the time Iran decide Israel and America are likely to have taken out their vessels anyway.
Having taken out 90% of Iran’s surface to air missiles defences in the initial sortie with the swing back winged fire breathing Mach 1 stealth excellence of the B1s, nothing can stop a menacing thunderstorm of B52s crapping out far cheaper bombs with the help of gravity, closing the cost to kinetic ratio that previously favoured Iran’s dwindling drone reserves, whose factories to replace the payload have also been blitzed by America and Israel. Now the B2s may enter the fray to target subterranean sites.
That not only looks like a plan. It looks like military poetry.
The only person who doesn’t have a plan, doesn’t have a shored up energy supply, doesn’t have a functional military and is now laced with Islamist terrorists who have been booted out of The Gulf is Britain. And as a strategically located island, depleted of naval power, surrounded by seas rich with oil and gas, fishing stocks, ideally positioned between America and Europe, Scandinavia and Africa, with porous borders and a suppine Government who seemingly work for Beijing, if I was an aggressor I’d be smacking my lips, which is a very scary thought indeed. And if Russian Bears did buzz our beaches, if China did flick the kill switches in our solar panels, if the Fifth Column of Terrorists did take to our streets, we’d have to hope and pray America rode to our rescue, when we have deeply betrayed them by initially blocking the use of their air bases and trying to hand Diego Garcia to a proxy of the Chinese and ignoring their candid warnings with smug superiority.
Thank goodness however that Trump Derangement Syndrome does not provoke a Deranged Trump response. Donald knows we have been cursed with a treacherous government of Paedo sympathisers, slimy 2 bit operators and grasping Communist sycophants.
I have confidence America would come to our aid despite how fickle and shameless a faux friend we have been of late.
So there you have it.
Don’t let them invert the truth.
Stop saying America has no plan when it is us, the Emperor showing off his new clothes, looking like a limp dick on the World Stage.
Meanwhile if it is true that Israel just deployed the Iron Beam in LIVE COMBAT for the first time in history, a literal laser that shoots down missiles and drones out of the sky, then we are looking at two nations actively testing futuristic tech in real time while wiping the smiles off their enemies faces for years to come. Cost per Iron Dome interceptor: $50,000. Cost per Iron Beam shot: $3.50. Firing at the speed of light, never running out of ammo, integrated into the complex layered air defense system of the Iron Dome and David’s Sling.
Just days ago the concern was Iran would manufacture more drones while stockpiles of Patriot missiles couldn’t be replenished at volume and speed. Well that frankly doesn’t matter anymore with The Iron Beam.
Iran spent decades building a missile arsenal designed to overwhelm through sheer volume. Fire 1,000 missiles, hope 50 get through.
Not only has that strategy died, they are now scratching around for re-ups, begging bowl outstretched to who they thought were friends and receiving a chilly response.
Last night my window panes rattled at 2am. I know what was passing overhead.
Poetry in motion.
God Bless America! Am Yisrael Chai!
And to you both - Britain will be back the minute we have extracted this disgusting government. We might need one of those microwave zappers…

Excellent article Alex, those that have the attention span of a tik-tok toddler will have consumed the nae-sayers coolaid, not worth wasting your breath on them…
You’re right, the technology and equipment being used is right up there, ‘Alan’s snack bar’ could never have developed or mustered, as for our leaders, that title is wasted on Starmer and his pathetic clown show!
Great article but way too long for busy people, less is more, less is punchier and more likely to get forwarded. The hideous, dumb 'Spectator' magazine has a full front cover ugly cartoon slagging off Trump for an 'Epic fail - how's Trump's gamble backfired'. This is after Trump has committed US troops to a world-changing, murderous-regime-obliterating, VERY brave move to stop lunatics getting nuclear weapons,, stop the murders and torturing to death in prisons of thousands of Iranian citizens etc etc. BUT THAT'S NOT ENOUGH FOR OUR LOW IQ MEDIA, they want to focus on the minor inconvenience of slightly higher petrol prices and upsets to their holiday flight plans. Damn right if Trump had stopped Hitler and WW2 in 1936, British media would probably have slagged him off then.
