Alex you have hit the nail on the head. There is no doubt in my mind that Ann Widdecombe has become a martyr for free speech and her political beliefs.
What makes a lefty? I wrote a post suggesting we are all left when first leaving school, then the path of hard work, not being entitled, moved most of us on to the reality of life, leaving behind those who have perhaps a privileged upbringing, with the knowledge that someone, somewhere worked hard to achieve the life they are now living, alternatively do they have employment outside industry, where the state pays their salary with a subsidised pension, there could be those who work in education, and never left school, still holding those thoughts we perhaps had, for the rest of their lives, never understanding the salaries they pick up every month have been paid for by us poor uneducated far right thugs.
Thank God I inherited hard work and a good work ethic
Alex thank you for continuing in the frontline, we weep with you over the murder of our national treasure that is Ann Widdecombe. I can’t imagine the pain and fear you all feel as we all begin to comprehend the lengths the establishment will go to silence us.
Lean hard on Jesus in these days. Remember that He is the King of Kings and Lord Of Lords. And we ultimately know how it all ends.

Security essentials on a budget if you are high profile: make sure your movements are hard to track. Make sure your residence LOOKS very secure; cameras, automatic lighting etc. Get a dog/they're lovely, and bark. Have panic buttons that connect to deafening sirens that make any troublemaker want to run, brief friends/neighbours who can react within seconds or minutes. It puts in context the thinly veiled hypocrisy of the defrocked Starmfuhrer and the amphibian fruitcake Davey who focused on the non-declaration of Harborne’s donation to Nigel obscuring the purposes for which it was apparently made. Their comments were defamatory and I hope Nigel will sue: a defence of truth plus justification for saying he is “mired in sleaze” and is a “grifter”, spoken outside the Chamber so not privileged, may not hold up even if he goes down technically on the non-declaration point. If he succeeds on that it would seem a slam dunk.
